Paul Hodkinson is programme director of the BSc Sociology, Culture and Media and BA Media Studies degrees, run by the Department of Sociology at the University of Surrey. Most of his own teaching relates to the sociology of media and culture, though he also has taught on a variety of social research methods and social theory modules.

Currently he is coordinates and teaches undergraduate modules entitled Media, Power and Culture, Music, Media and Technology and Sociological Analysis.

He also supervises undergraduate and Masters dissertations related to the sociology of media and culture.
